The "three-layer co-extrusion" of medium-voltage cables is a complicated work. Starting from the incoming line, it needs to go through the processes of wire storage, upper traction, entry into the machine head, cross-linking through vulcanization pipes, cooling pipes, lower traction, and take-up to realize real insulation. And different products, the production process is also different, the required value is different, must accurately grasp the process value, in order to ensure that the production of various types of wires in a reasonable range. "If you want to master the operation of the three-layer co-extrusion cross-linking equipment, you need to study systematically and carefully for at least three years, and you can find different problems during the operation and deal with them in a timely and correct manner before you can be counted as a qualified operator." When Zhao Zhijun talked with us about the equipment operation requirements, he also paid attention to the operation interface of various parameters from time to time.
"I have been in the cable industry for more than 20 years. At the beginning, I also spent about two or three years studying. I can simply operate the" three-layer co-extrusion cross-linking equipment "and prevent some common problems, but it is only some simple things. In the following ten years of work, I learned and explored while summing up experience. At present, I can skillfully deal with the numerical adjustment of production process, prevention of faults in advance and emergency treatment of problems."
As a standard post -85, Zhao Zhijun is not very old, but he has a "veteran" who does not match his age in his work, and all the production process values are kept in mind. From setting out, water cooling to taking-up, Zhao Zhijun is like an "encyclopedia" and can make emergency treatment at the first time, just like an "old master.

"To do this job well, I think the sense of responsibility and professionalism are the first. We must observe the equipment parameters at any time. Even if there is a little problem, the loss of the product is irreparable". We followed Zhao Zhijun to the operation room. In the operation room of less than 20 square meters, apart from the huge operation equipment, there was a bench placed in front of the operation table and a simple bed that could not be simpler.
"It is more convenient to live here, and the problem can be dealt with as soon as it is found. If the problem is not found in time, all the cables produced will be scrapped and the loss will be very serious. If the machine is shut down for more than two hours, it will take another day or two to clean up the production machine, and it will not be restarted until at least two days later, which will also delay the production schedule. I remember one time at about 2: 00 a.m., the drainage system of the production line failed. in order to avoid equipment downtime, I immediately changed the water manually. while ensuring the balance of water vapor, I contacted the repairman to solve the problem in the shortest possible time to ensure normal production."
According to Zhao Zhijun, the three-layer co-extrusion cross-linking equipment cannot be shut down for a minimum of three to five days as long as it is turned on. The "three-layer co-extrusion" is a key link in the production of medium-voltage cables. In order to ensure the orderly development of production, Zhao Zhijun, as the core technical personnel for operating this equipment and carrying out medium-voltage joints, remained on standby 24 hours a day during this period to grasp the equipment situation in real time.
