Sanmentang ancient building group is located in the town of Tianzhu County, Guizhou Province, 40 kilometers away from the county seat, south of Qingshui River. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, the people of Sanmentang, who became rich by water transportation, donated money to create a righteous school, popularized Han culture, educated the villagers, built ancestral halls, pavilions and pavilions, built roads and bridges, created ferries, and went to the market in the opening period, setting up wooden shops, meat stalls and cloth shops, rice shops department stores, and restaurants and hotels. In its heyday, Sanmentang formed a complex of buildings composed of five main streets and lanes and many houses, businesses, shops, temples, bridges, docks, etc., including most of the typical folk water transportation and trade market towns. The Sanmentang ancient building complex includes two ancestral halls, more than 300 inscriptions, 68 ancient trees, 28 Yinzi houses, 20 wells, 17 fish ponds, 6 stone arch bridges, 10 stone slab bridges, 12 stone slab roads and more than 30 pebble roads. These architectural style is unique, the spatial layout is flexible and changeable, the three-dimensional sense is very strong, the craft is very exquisite, the style is rough and exquisite.
